As most of you know The Living Tale Series Productions was created to adapt Henley and the Book of Heroes into a live action, full-length, feature film. We started May, 2025 and have completed a lot of work.
A week ago, I went to San Diego to record an interview with our production team and finalize the script. These are good times!

Movie making starts with a lot of hard behind the scenes work, asking for financial support, doing more hard work, asking for money, doing more hard work, and the cycle continues until at last it is finished.
For those of you who don’t know, a movie is completed in phases: Development, Pre-Production, Production, Post-Production, and Distribution. Right now, we are in Pre-Production. In this phase, we calculated our budget, we completed the screenplay (all the scenes of the film), and wrote the script (who says what when).
Next, we will identify locations, audition talent, hire technical staff, film a mini-scene, and create a filming schedule. When this is all done, we can start filming.
Why am telling you all this? First, it is fun to learn the ins and outs of film-making, and second, we are an indie film company. All this work and timing rests on raising funds. We need support to keep the project going.
In keeping with this, we have created a donor page at Give, Send, Go. Every dollar counts and we are thankful for every amount. To show our thanks, you’ll receive gifts like free merch and movie perks (be an extra, have your name in the movie, or in the credits).
Head on over to see how easy it is to be a crucial part of The Living Tale.
See you on the inside!
Dr. Jane
